The Afrindependent Institute is a burgeoning think tank, an academic and educational organization dedicated to developing Africonomics and restoring Africa’s economic heritage of free-enterprise systems.
We were approached to overhaul the website design and expand their digital footprint for the next leap in their journey to becoming the foremost economic think tank in Africa. It was an exciting challenge for us, considering the industry they operate in and the potential of such a startup.
Approach
Our creative strategy was simple and focused: we aimed to portray the harmony of African identity, brutalism, and economics in the design of the interface and interactions. Given the startup’s philosophical undertakings, we opted for minimalistic visual elements to emphasize the realities of African economics.
We experimented with layouts and hierarchy to ensure that scholars and stakeholders have a seamless reading experience. Whether skimming or scanning through the publications, users can easily find the information they need without any hassle.
Overall, we are proud of the direction we took for the Afrindependent Institute, and we are enthusiastically supporting this remarkable think tank.
